Two Acoustics Plants Awarded Caterpillar Certifications
Blachford Acoustics Group is proud to announce that two of our plants, Blachford Inc. (West Chicago, IL) and Blachford AM Ltd. (Cambridge, ON) have been awarded certifications through Caterpillar’s SQEP Program. The Caterpillar (SQEP) Supplier Quality Excellence Process requirements take into account work performed by almost every department in the company and help Caterpillar determine a supplier level from Bronze all the way up to Platinum. Blachford AM has been awarded Caterpillar Gold for the 2nd year in a row after becoming eligible for the award for the first time last year. Blachford UK set to Unveil Latest Enhancements at IVT Expo 2019
The Blachford UK team is set to greet thousands of visitors at the IVT Expo 2019 being held at Koln Messe in Cologne, Germany, from February 13 – 14, 2019. Organized by Industrial Vehicle Technology magazine, this is the first international exhibition to bring together the industrial vehicle industry and showcases the latest and next-generation components and technologies all under one roof. Blachford’s Charles Moritz to Deliver Key Note Speech at iVT Expo 2018
Our very own Charles Moritz, Vice President of Research and Development for Blachford Acoustics Group, will be delivering a key note speech at iVT Expo at 11:45am on February 14th in Cologne, Germany. Charles will be ‘Demystifying cab acoustical material selection’ by reviewing a myriad of acoustical materials and sharing basic acoustical formulas and material properties. Our specialty lies in vehicular sound proofing - agricultural, construction and earth-moving (ACE) vehicles in particular. It is through Ken’s extensive knowledge of polyurethane (PU or PUR), however that Blachford is able to develop world-leading turnkey acoustic solutions for vehicle manufacturers. InterNoise 2018 Review & Report
Charles Moritz, Blachford Acoustics Group's Vice President of Research & Development, was the Conference President for InterNoise 2018, the 47th International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering. The conference was held in Chicago last August (2018). Over 1,000 people from 40 countries attended. Jonathan Chen, our 2017 summer intern at the Blachford Acoustics Laboratory and Technical Center, presented a paper on simulating the low frequency behavior of our Reverberation chamber. The paper was co-authored by Jonathan’s thesis advisor, Dr. David Herrin, Blachford's Senior Acoustics Engineer Jennifer Shaw and Charlie. Jonathan's paper is available here
