TMAT – Racing to raise money for Charity

TMAT is on a mission to raise money for a variety of charities in the Sheffield Half Marathon on Sunday 27th May.

The Race starts at Don Valley Stadium goes through the streets of the city centre and the finishes back at the stadium.

Jason Lippitt, MD is hoping to raise at least £1000 from TMAT with a view to the Company matching all sponsorship raised. Some of the contributions will go towards TMAT’s chosen charity “Ashgate Hospice” and the remainder will be shared between the charities chosen by the employees that are running.

Jason Lippitt is running for the British Heart Foundation. Jason said: “ My son was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease at only one day old. As I’ve supported many charities in the past I had decided to put some of my energy in raising funds for this fantastic charity”.

Theresa Morton is running for Brain Tumor UK. Theresa told TMAT: “This charity is close to my heart. My sister was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year and has just finished radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment following a craniotomy operation to remove the tumour”.

Lee Carpenter is running for Help For Heroes. Lee advised: “I have chosen this charity because I have close friends and relatives in the armed forces, knowing that there is a charity that can provide the necessary support and can make a real difference to the lives of our wounded is a comfort”.

TMAT wishes each and every person running the Sheffield half marathon the best of luck in raising money for their chosen charity. There are many good reasons for supporting this sponsored event, so please help if you can.
