Jason Lippitt talks budget with ITV Tonight

Jason Lippitt, MD TMAT, is a member of the ITV Business Club and has been invited to represent manufacturing in Yorkshire and put forward his thoughts on today’s 2012 Budget plans. Tonight from 18:00 Jason will take up a position on the ITV Calendar’s couch alongside a couple of other representatives from the ITV Business Club panel. Yesterday a camera crew from ITV spent a couple of hours filming at TMAT’s site to be used in tonight’s news.

It’s perfect chemistry at TMAT

TMAT has recently welcomed Dr. Ken Kendall, Polymer Chemist, to its team.

TMAT’s new Product Development Manager will be responsible for developing new products and value-engineering existing ones. With an Honours degree in chemistry and a PhD in polymer science from Manchester University, Dr. Ken Kendall’s accreditation will afford TMAT greater strength and protection with its intellectual property.

Dr. Kendall will build upon TMAT’s existing core competency in polyurethane chemistry and enable higher excellence in research and development of new products. Dr. Kendall said: “We can react even faster to our customers’ need for innovative and cost-effective products for new market opportunities”.

With a wealth of experience in technical roles in the polymer industry Dr. Kendall will surely be an excellent asset to the TMAT team.

TMAT Apprenticeships parliament recognition

TMAT Ltd was recently invited to a Champagne Parliamentary Reception to congratulate the company for its contribution to apprenticeships.

The multi-national manufacturer’s MD, Jason Lippitt, was delighted to attend the House of Commons which included speakers Simon Waugh, Chief Executive of the National Apprenticeship service and John Hayes MP, Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning who unveiled the ‘New Era of Apprenticeships’.

TMAT was congratulated by the Minister for their successful track record in mentoring and supporting apprentices and fully embracing the government’s policy.

“It was an honour to be invited to such a prestigious event and TMAT pledges to support the New Era of Apprenticeships.”

TMAT has already fully embraced the ‘New Era of Apprenticeships’ by currentlyhaving 20 apprenticeship scheme positions filled by one of the recession’s hardest hit age gaps, 16-24 year-olds. TMAT encourages an investment in people, as Jason Lippitt, MD said:
